Q and A

"Does your office accept my insurance plan?"

Our office participates with the following dental insurance plans:

  • Delta Dental
  • Horizon/Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Aetna
  • Assurant

Please be assured that we welcome all patients, with or without insurance, and our diagnosis and treatment plan for you is never determined or resricted on the basis of whether or not you are "covered by a plan". As a continued service to our patients, we will always extend the additional courtesy of filing claims on your behalf to any benefit plan promptly and free of charge. Because of the myriad of plans that patients and employers have, we must rely on you to be familiar with your plan and some basic information about your particular coverage. We always offer our patients three different methods of payment from which to choose, and your choice from these options will be up to you, once we have together determined the proper course of treatment.

"What is the easiest way to get an appointment at your office?"

To make an appointment, you can either fill out the form on our home page, send us an email, or give us a call. With any of these methods it's easy to become a patient at Josephsen Family Dentistry and we will be delighted to welcome you into our family of patients.

"What days/times is your office open?"

Monday: 8:30am-5pm

Tuesday: 8:30am-5pm

Wednesday: 9:00-1pm

Thursday: 9:00-5pm

Friday: 9:00-5pm

Saturday: 8:30am-12pm

"What do the letters 'FAGD' after Dr. Al Josephsen's name stand for?"

F.A.G.D. stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Al earned his Fellowship from The Academy in 2005, having completed over 500 hours of continuing education in all areas of Dentistry and Dental Medicine, followed by a seven hour written examination. Membership in the AGD requires a commitment to more continuing education hours annually, so not all dentists choose to belong to the AGD, nor do all members pursue and attain Fellowship. Dr. Greg is currently pursuing Fellowship status through a commitment to Continuing Education. Continuing Education is a responsibility that we feel very strongly about, and we continue to seek the knowledge of the best and brightest on our patient's behalf.

"When should I bring my child for their first check up at your office?"

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentists recommends your child see a dentist when their first tooth appears, or no later than his/her first birthday. It is great to see the patients who we initially saw as children bring their own kids to the office! We love seeing little ones in our office!
